12/6/07 lux Awarded ’Outstanding Female Drummer of the Year’ by Rock City Magazine!
Los Angeles based magazine Rock City News held their 13th annual 'The Rockies Awards' at B.B. Kings in Hollywood on December 6th. Out of 13 nominees, lux was awarded 'Outstanding Female Drummer of the Year'!

Mystery Hangup Album: Three Moons And The Crashing Sun After six long months of hard work, these ladies have confirmed the release date of their debut album Three Moons And The Crashing Sun for August 3rd! The album will be available online and will be available at their CD Release/Tour Kickoff Show at Hogue Barmichael's, Newport Beach, CA on Friday, August 3rd. Out of state radio stations have already confirmed radioplay and promotion of their dates on the national Sound + Vision Tour. Be sure to pick up your copy on August 3rd and don't miss the Sound + Vision Tour when it gets to your state!

In support of their debut album, Mystery Hangup will be featured on the Sound + Vision Tour which will take the band across the nation with ending dates in North Carolina. 4/15/07 "The Henry Fonda Show w/Christian Death 1334 was awesome!"
We had a blast playing with Christian Death at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood. Thanks to everyone who came out to this special show. Footage of the concert will be available online soon.

3/26/07 Mystery Hangup To Join Christian Death 1334 On Stage
Orange County’s recording artist Mystery Hangup has announced their scheduled performance with Christian Death 1334 in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Only Theatre of Pain. This opportunity to share the stage with Christian Death arose after Rikk Agnews encounter with one of Mystery Hangup’s live performances at a carnival in Los Angeles.

Just like John Doe of X and Joan Jett, Rikk Agnew, guitarist of Christian Death, 45 Grave and The Adolescents, was impressed. Since then, Rikk Agnew has kept close watch on this all female rock band. Mystery Hangup has now made it to Rikk Agnew’s #1 spot of 74 bands to look out for on his MySpace blog.

Their self-titled EP has received much acclaim by their fans and radio DJs. They were nominated by The Orange County Music Awards in 2006 for Best Punk Band and now they are eagerly awaiting for this golden opportunity to perform alongside thee leading band in the emergence of Death Rock in the United States, Christian Death on Friday, April 13th at the Henry Fonda Theater.

1/26/2007 Drummer lux sets WFD Record in 'Battle of the Hands' Female Division!
lux, chosen as Miss WFD 2007 in December, set a new WFD World Record in the 'Battle of the Hands' Female Division for single strokes on Thursday, January 18. With hardly any warmup and having never drummed on a drumometer prior to the event, lux was able to manage setting a new World Record of 901 strokes in 60 seconds.

1/5/07 Mystery Hangup to Record With Producers Paul Roessler & Geza X!
Mystery Hangup is stepping into Satelite Park Studios, Malibu, CA to record their full length debut album, Three Moons And The Crashing Sun in January. This album will feature unleased material as well as selected MH songs from their EP. Paul Roessler (Screamers, Josie Cotton) and Geza X (Produced: Dead Kennedy's, The Germs, Black Flag) will be mixing & producing this long awaited album. Album release date is pending for April 27th, 2007.

12/23/06 Cat & lux appearing at the 2007 NAMM Show
Cat and lux of Mystery Hangup have been chosen as Miss WFD 2007! They will be appearing at the 2007 NAMM Show in January at the WFD Booth. WFD (World's Fastest Drummer), Extreme Sport Drumming, is a competition that counts how many strokes you do in a minute. lux will also be entering to compete in the Women's Single Strokes Category on the first day of the event.

10/20/06 Mystery Hangup Performing Live on KVMD TV!
Mystery Hangup will be performing live on KVMD TV (southern California) on October 21st at 5:50pm. The band will be performing Morning Glare & Forever a Prisoner for the Hepatitis C Awareness Telethon so be sure to tune in on Channel 23 (KVMD TV)!
